• Google Address Search API: We use this API to validate your full address based on the search string you input.

• Account Setup: We use your personal information to create and manage your account.
• Content Visibility: Your posts will be visible to nearby users.
• Address Validation: We use the Google Address Search API to validate your full address and provide relevant nearby neighbor matches.

• Right to Know: You can request details about the personal data we collect and how it’s used.
• Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions.

5. Data Retention

You can delete any content you post through the app. However, logs of your activity may be retained for legal or security reasons. You can also request deletion of your entire account, and we will permanently erase your personal data unless required by law to retain it.

India Neighbour uses HTTPS encryption and OTP verification to protect your account information. However, no data transmission is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its security.

7. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except when using the Google Address Search API to validate your address.

8. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

India Neighbour is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will promptly delete it.

9. Location Services

India Neighbour does not collect live location data. We use the address you provide to show nearby neighbors within a specified mile range.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Bangalore, India. Any disputes will be resolved in Bangalore, karnataka.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy as needed. Significant changes will be communicated to users through the app or by email.

11. Data Retention Policy

To maintain a focus on current and meaningful communication, we retain only the latest 3 months of user data, including chat and activity history. This approach aligns with our goal to support real-time interactions and keep users updated. Older data is automatically deleted and will not be stored. We recommend that users save any personal or important information they wish to retain separately from the app.
